Who are we:

 

We are the Ashtabula County Genealogical Society, Inc., or ACGS for short.

 

What are our purposes:

 

The purpose or purposes of the ACGS is to promote and encourage research and to aid and instruct persons in tracing their family history; To publish, if advisable, genealogical materials compiled by the Society members and to copyright this material, if necessary; To collect, preserve, and make available for educational and research purposes family records, scrapbooks, diaries, family Bibles, albums, city directories, newspapers, newspaper clippings,  manuscripts, historical books, maps, computers and genealogy CDs, microfilm and microfiche, and such other material used or useful and necessary for genealogical or historical research; To promote and encourage public interest in the preserving of historical records; and To encourage active membership in this Society and in the Ohio Genealogical Society.

 

Who can become a member of ACGS:

 

Anyone interested in genealogical research and the preserving of historical records may become a member of ACGS.  Patron and benefactor memberships are available. Click on the Membership button in the left panel to obtain a membership application or additional information about ACGS Membership.
